You’ve made it this far, so I guess we can get better acquainted—hi, I’m Davilyn (Davi). I’m a designer and artist who loves creating work that sticks, not just sells.
My creative journey began with drawing, painting, and exploring visual art under my alias, Artesy, long before I pursued design. That path eventually led me to earn my BFA in Graphic Design from DePaul University, where I explored branding, publications, digital experiences, and conceptual work through projects like The Bagelers and working with DePaul. Whether I’m designing or making art, I’m interested in how visuals act as a language; how they can communicate ideas, shape perception, and make people think or see something differently.
My process usually begins experimentally and becomes more structured as a vision takes shape; I believe the strongest work doesn’t necessarily need to be flashy, but simply needs to fit, make sense, and mean something. Outside of creating, I’m usually walking with music in my ears and imagining visuals in my head, reading, learning languages, exploring philosophy and strategy, or playing story-driven games. All of these interests feed into how I think about storytelling, choice, culture, and meaning, both in my work and in everyday life.
